What Is “Trigger”?

Trigger is when people, words, or situation provoke an emotional reaction within us.

Trigger activates the ego.

Examples of how we feel when we are triggered:
- Blame
- Shame
- Fear
- Anger
- Jealousy
- Inferiority
- Superiority
- Insecurity

When we are triggered we have a tendency to react from a egoic state.
The goal is to notice and identify these trigger feelings so we don’t react but instead deal with it from a loving compassionate place.
